Just in time for the bee-season 2013, an upgraded Sky Hive will be available: The hoist system will be driven by an electrical motor powered by solar energy and it will be certified to be used in public spaces all over Europe.

Meier + moor have designed a pavilion out of recycled building materials on behalf of the Bee Collective. An existing shed at the Gebrookerplein in Hoensbroek (NL) is disassembled and the steel profiles are used to build the Bee Castle in the nearby Aldenhofpark. This spring the first bees will inhabit the castle!
